The million dollar question.

Why are all North American showers so good, but all their toilets are so bad? Why have they perfected water pressure to ensure every shower is strong and powerful, but have fallen behind in making their toilets a similar standard? Everywhere I go, if I try and flush more than a small wee, the toilets back up. I have never encountered so many 'out of order' toilets in all my life. Some people whinge about using outdoor drop toilets (for those who can't work it out, it's when whatever you put into the toilet "drops" into a hole in the ground) but I can't see what the difference is in not having the option to flush, and not having a functioning flush.
